Hello,

Im doing the same. I am switching my website from one hosting company to another. Ever since the switch My ad sense is not showing up. I do have the privacy setting in wordpress turned on but there still seems to be no ads. Im not sure what I am doing wrong. The show up blank on the first page but then on the posts they are working properly. Any ideas?

Thanks

Thank you for pointing this out.

When I created my Wordpress blog, I did so in a separate subdirectory on the main website, and wanted to make is so the search engines would not find any files in that area while I was designing it. So, I forgot that I had switched the privacy setting to block search engines, but allow normal visitors when I switched over to the main website and made it live. I did this so I could migrate directly from Blogger FTP publishing to Wordpress, and keep the file naming structure basically the same from Blogger FTP to Wordpress and still have the old links remain intact.

Hopefully the ads will start showing on the right side of the website, after some of my own ads. I'll give it some time to see if that is the case. I'll also double check my robots.txt file as pointed out by Tony above. I suspect the Wordpress privacy settings change parameters in the robots.txt file.

Regards,

That's good advice. We had a similar problem when we transferred from blogger ftp to wordpress ... the robot.txt file had to be tweaked.

Google's FTP shutdown on Blogger is a joke ... but I'm glad to be part of the Wordpress family!
